the Birthday of Ember and the People of Parks

Besides getting a B on my last test, I'm having a LOT of fun this summer. It's the first time since I can remember when I haven't minded the heat. We live very close to a really cool part of Salt Lake City called the marmalade district, and I have so much fun taking Lincoln on walks through it to downtown and the avenues. We just came back from a 2 and a half hour walk! I took him to see the park where Tyler and I were married. Lincoln loves the sound of the creek that runs through Memory Grove. We like watching all the kids play on the playground at Liberty Park, too.

Lincoln was introduced to Park City this past weekend. Tyler's family stayed in a hotel on Main Street (right across from where we stayed for our anniversary!) over the 4th of July weekend, and our family plus his sister Tara's came for a day visit. My niece (I think I can call her that, even though I'm married in) turned 2 and we celebrated her birthday with cake and a parade!

September is the cutest little thing, with curly red hair and an impressive appetite!

Tyler loves his little Ember. I remember when we first met, he was so excited to tell me about her!

She's pretty much the sweetest thing!

Here she is eating her delicious and perfectly homemade-by-mommy birthday cake.

And here's me. Ready for the parade to begin.

Lincoln had a whopper of a story to tell while we waited...

...mostly about how over-the-top his parents are about skin protection.

This is the view from the hotel room balcony.

I love this photo of Brady, Tara, Katie and Lori. It could almost be an ad for the little laptop, because they're all smiling really big!

One thing more. "Size matters not."

Happiness does, though. ;-)
