Oh, these three

Lincoln is an incredibly sweet older brother.  This is what it's like in our house:

I am so grateful they are good kids.  And I'm also so thankful for Tyler, who is willing to help me do one of my favorite things: make a house a home.  This weekend I bought a relatively good priced table at a local wood store, hung paper airplanes above Lincoln's city mural, rearranged furniture, cleaned, and relaxed with the kiddos.  Life is sweet!

Hazel content, as usual.

First meal on our good deal!

We are looking forward to spending a few weeks in Utah this Christmas!  Make sure to visit us if you are around.

A Visitor!

This past week my best friend came to stay with us.  It was her first time in Massachusetts.  She painted a mural in Lincoln's room, held sleeping babies, baked, successfully made candy for the first time, and saw a little of Boston.  We took a drive to Walden Pond on a rainy day, and jumped out of the van to take a few pictures while the children slept.  And we showed her Babson, the school Tyler is attending.

This tree was grown from a cutting off the Isaac Newton tree!

"C" is for car.  Thanks for getting us a pumpkin to carve, Lizzy!  She even roasted the seeds, mmmm!
TWO different types of brittle: pumpkin seed and pecan.  Delicious!

We made, ate, and cleaned up a lot of fruit smoothies.

Lizzy held both of the babies quite a bit.  Hazel couldn't stop smiling at her Auntie.  I mean, really, really big, gushing smiles.  And Ezra laughed.  Yes, Ezra laughs now.  :-)

I am grateful she was willing to use up her vacation time and purchase a plane ticket to brave our hectic household. Who knew she was also reserving a first row seat to my first mental breakdown since birthing the babies! Unfortunately I am an over-anxious hostess. Or, maybe just an over-anxious person. All I can say is that I attempted to be and do too much.  Smile more, fret less, is my lesson here.  Thank you, Liz, for all the love you showered on us.  We'll see you in December when we visit Utah!

Beep beep, trick or treat

Lincoln City!

Lizzy painted my son a mural!  How lucky is this nearly-3-year-old?  I dare not count up the hours she spent planning, sketching, measuring, painting... repainting... All I can say is that at many points along the way we all wondered what we'd gotten ourselves into.  But it all came together, and my child now has a marvelously colorful, happy room.  The first night he slept in his city, it must have played into his dreams, because he woke up looking in the windows, wondering where the kids are.  Look at these walls!  Now we can't move until he's 10!

Thank you so very much, Elizabeth Smith!

Family Photos

Before we left Utah, we had four different photo sessions with Cat Palmer.  Two of them were gifts from my best friend (maternity and newborn shoots).  The last two were with family (one with my family, one with Tyler's).  I thought I would share some of our favorites.

Long post, I know!  A big thank you to our families, Liz, and Cat Palmer for helping capture all of us together before we moved.
